Crowdtap: GLAM feature Odwalla Planting 100,000 trees with your help!

odwalla_tree

Here is my tree! Now its your turn!  Please view this page, and then rate it!

“Odwalla is partnering with The Nature Conservancy’s All Hands on Earth initiative to plant up to 100,000 trees across America! If you go to the Odwalla Plant a Tree page, you can make a digital tree of your own. Each tree completed by you will result in a $1 donation to The Nature Conservancy on behalf of Odwalla. The best part is that the tree will be planted in your name, so somewhere across this country, there will be a tree dedicated to your donation. On top of that, there is the chance to win the grand prize–a $10,000 gift card and a year’s worth of Odwalla drinks and bars.”

Odwalla’s Details: Between March 20, 2013 and May 31, 2013, Odwalla will contribute $1 for each tree you create to The Nature Conservancy for the planting of trees– no less than $75,000 and up to $100,000. The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to conserve the land and waters on which all life depends. More information about the Conservancy is available by mail at 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22203, by phone at (800) 628-6860 or at www.nature.org.

Please view the page, then rate it so Crowdtap will increase my points and likelihood that I will be chosen for more product reviews!  I need 5 friends to view this page!  Crowdtap will also make a donation to the ASPCA after 5 page views!

PAD: Nightmares

Daily Prompt: Describe the last nightmare you remember having. What do you think it meant?

….SKIP!

The whole purpose of  NIGHTmares is they happen at night when you are asleep.  There’s nothing I want more after a nightmare then to wake up and forget it.  Not relive it.

That being said I had 2 last night, one I don’t want to talk about, the other involved fish, frogs, and lizards.  All in a slimy form I actually had to touch.

Freaky_fish

Fish on the left are big enough (maybe a little too big). Fish on the right are making me want to run away.

If you don’t already know, fish kinda freak me out.  I like the Aquarium at the zoo because the tanks are huge and there’s lots of space in between them and me.  However I don’t want to walk the aisles at a pet store that is dedicated to fish.  That freaks me out like crazy.  Being surrounded by tanks of water with absurdly large fish…I’ll pass.

flounder

Are you kidding me lady? Too big, much too big!

Lizards don’t freak me out at all.  Frogs don’t really either, it just so happened my nightmare frogs were the size of basketballs and I had to pick them up and stick them in the water!  EWW!

I Saw A Leaf Bug Today, and other Garden Pics

So I went out today to fill up on crafty supplies, returned home to see a Leaf Bug sitting on a bush right by where I park my car!  This is a rare occurrence, I’ve only ever seen one at the zoo before!  So I grabbed my camera to catch some pics for you guys!

Can you find it??

It didn’t move the whole time!

And then I thought, maybe I could share some photos of the other areas of the garden/planting area at my house!

A lil mossy patch

All that’s missing for this mossy patch are some cute fairy houses!!

A day lily has sprung up even though we’ve had a few nights of frost already!

This is where the pumpkin patch was!

Our very own pumpkins from our pumpkin patch!

A mum so big a small child could get lost in it!

Here is our October front door decor.

Do you have your pumpkins yet?  Are you looking for a DIY pumpkin patch that costs you almost nothing?  Well, except some dead grass for awhile…or if you have a LARGE area of dirt for planting that works too (we don’t).  Interested in finding out how we grew pumpkins without even realizing it?  Leave a comment and I’ll post a quick How-To!
